Mike and I had a free day two Saturdays ago and we decided to drive out to Joshua Tree National Park.  We hadn’t been there before, and it’s about a two and a half hour drive from us, so we figured why not?  It did not disappoint!  Not only was it beautiful, but it was so peaceful and quiet.  Mike and I both love the desert and how removed you are from everything.  It’s a great way to escape the city!  We did a four mile hike to the Lost Horse Mine and then drove around for a while, took in the sights, and enjoyed each other’s company!
