Mike and I took a trip to Central California over Labor Day weekend and even though we had heard how beautiful this part of California is, we were blown away when we got there! The first day, we spent some time at Point Sur lighthouse, and drove down to Big Sur as far as we could (the road is closed due to the landslide from earlier this year). Big Sur was beyond gorgeous – it’s like a forest right next to the ocean and it’s just AMAZING! The second day we went on a 17-mile scenic drive around Monterey and saw the iconic Cannery Row. We ended the day at Moss Landing, which is north of Monterey and where ALL THE OTTERS were! But the otters are for the next post! For now, enjoy the scenery of Central California!
